bought new battery but....

bought new battery but....

bought a new Orbital battery which is made by exide 2000cca, maintenence free battery sorta shaped like an optima one.. my issue is the positive battery cable is about an 1" from making it onto the terminal. napa the place i bought it from says that its absolutely the right battery listed for my car. they cannot return batterys so im stuck with it. does anyone know if they makes some good extensions or even cable replacement thats a little longer? any help is appreciated

Just make a strap out of copper..or use 2or4 Ga wire with two eyes and a couple of bolts. Just needs to be big enough to carry the current

They make extenders. Check the Optima thread in the DIY section. Some folks purchased batteries with reversed terminals and had to fabricate new connections. You'll probably find what you need right there at Napa.
