Hell no! Forget that, there is no way to take that thing out by hand. I could probably (Although, I haven't done so) lift the motor off the ground while squatting down to it and, but taking it out of the car? no way! I didn't even attempt.

What if we strapped you to the cherry picker... and you just held onto the motor for dear life as we lifted? that could count as removing the motor by hand... then you can share the "Orge" title as well..

This one ends in a humorous way. What happened was that the lower corner seal rotated slightly and the grooves came out of alignment. We had to abort the filming there :)

Another Video: me cutting a seal. It really isn't that hard as for some reason it is believed to be. Just gotta take it slow, and be extra careful to maintain the angle of the cut. That is all there is to it.

In this one, I made a cut, and we are testing it for proper corner gaps.
It usually took us about 5-8 tests such as this to get it right, as the seals are about 2 mm longer than the grove as they come uncut, and once i had ttaken off the initial length and gave it the proper shape, there is just no telling. You gotta take it off very carefully, literally a half thousand's of an inch at a time.

Yeah, sorry. Been too busy lately.
Took the car to work for the first day today.

It had some problems starting for a while, due to the fact that all seals were new, but it is getting better day by day.
at the beginning it was taking quite a bit of cranking to get it running, then as i kept on running the motor, it begin starting sooner, and sooner. now if fires right up, being cold, and may be with a couple of tries when hot, but the vacuum readings are showing 18-20, which is good, the motor runs very well, and smooth.
i still need to retune everything, as all the int-X maps I have were too lean, for some reason. i mean all of it, became extremely lean, overall. Also I have all sorts of rattles coming from the under the car when the car is rolling. Something is robbing on something, and I will jack it up over the weekend to find out what, and fix it.
I had made a video, of all the work done with photos, and vids all put together, with some kid rock music to accompany it, which is fun to watch, but the damn thing is so huge that youtube will not let me upload it.

I fixed the nasty noise that was coming from the drive shaft. it was from the drive shaft coming in contact with the PPF, which in turn was pushed towards the shaft by my downpipe, which when installing in the darkness, got jammed too high up with the cross brace (which I installed the wrong way). :wallbash:
I also got read of a nasty sounding exhaust leack coming from the v-band flange on the turbo outlet by simply tightening the living shit out of it.
Boy what a difference :).

To add to all this, I tuned in the idles and now she very staby idles at just over 13 - 13.5 without AC and 14 - 15 with the AC turned on. I was never able to do it before the rebuild though, anything above 14 and the car was beginning to idle very erratically and stalling, but it works now.

The only thing left to do is to tune out the boost area, whi I had done on up to 8 PSI for the most part, except at the point where the APV opens up.

So the car gets pig rich coming close to 6-6500 and then suddenly jumps up like on steroids as the it becomes suddenly leaner. But that is not a big deal. Now that I can actually hear my engine (And it sounds soooo smooth!!! :ylsuper: ) and not the drive shaft rubbing against the frame, I can concentrate on getting it finalised.

No Ray, it has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with you. It has to do with the downpipe being jammed in too tight. PPF is sitting perfectly well.
I actually followed your advise tonight and jacked he up, and started turning the wheels andlistening. the problem reveled it'self right there and then. I removed the cross brace and the downpipe, pulled on the shaft cover to get it away from the shaft some, reinstalled the pipe, and the brace (in reversed position) and it took care of the issue.

nope, it is WMV, and I just looked, it is 190 megs.
youtube says it can allow up to 2 gig max, per video, yet they deleted the damn thing claiming it is too big :icon_bs: . I don't know.

They just lowered their limit to 1024MB or 1GB. At 190 megs it should have uploaded.

Sorta. The pipe was pushing the heat shield (the one that is attached to the PPF) too close towards the shaft, which in turn was rubbing against the heat shield, not the pipe, which makes it technically your fault anyway. So except for this little .... :lol2: Naaahhh just kidding :) :lol2:

To anyone, if ever (god forbid) your motor is in trouble BHR is the place to run for help on the matter. Not only you'll enjoy the company of Ray himself (while supplies last) but you'll learn a thing or two, and save a buck or two.
I strongly recommend utilizing CRH's expertise for your future rebuilds.
