BHR Ignition Kit...Warranty?

Hey everyone.
My gas mileage is crap, and though i havent checked the bottom of my coils yet, i know their going out, and im at about that mileage for service anyways. (04 AT 42,350 miles, im getting an average of 12mpg city with about 15% highway/tank)
My question is, will that kit void my warranty? Or does it still count as a coil replacement and i get to keep my warranty? I also just got a CEL and i checked it and got a P0037 for my rear 02 sensor, so i need to replace that too. Wheres the cheapest place for one of those?

nope, the BHR kit will not void your warranty.

$500 sounds like a pretty low price from a dealer.

Get the BHR coils, they are well worth the money. I am very happy with mine. If you're worried about warrenty, keep the old coils, everything is plug and play and will revert right back to stock.

Yes I'm aware, but the more miles I have the more wear the coils get. Whichever option I choose I'm keeping my receipts, but will my housing still be covered is the question. Technically, it's already been answered with a "check with your dealer just to be sure", because even though they are way better than OEM, they're still considered aftermarket and that can void my warranty. So I guess it all depends :/ ugh decisions decisions. This sucks
Anyone know where would be cheapest for a downstream (rear) o2 sensor? :/

get the BHR coils, honestly it's some of the best money you can spend on our cars.
IF and I mean IF you ever have major issues with your car, just throw the old OEM ignition coils back on (the swap is very easy to do at home with basic tools) and take it into your dealership that way if you think they'll have issues with the BHR system.

problem solved.

as for O2 sensors: I think some auto parts carry them, try Auto Zone or Napa.
if not, I typically order oem parts such as that from onlinemazdaparts.com

Autozone told me $155 for the sensor, I'm sure people know of where to find it cheaper than that..

And the warranty issue comes around where they need record of me having purchased and changed the plugs. I still need to check with them since I would have paperwork stating I have the bhr ones if I go with them, since their considered aftermarket. Obviously if I made this thread, I'd rather go with bhr, but the issue in question is the warranty.

check my last post, just told you where to get them cheaper.

you sound very concerned with warranty denial which is a genuine concern but I think you're blowing it out of proportion.
I happen to know of 2 cars here locally that had engine replacements performed by Mazda, they simply switched back to OEM coils before taking it in (car had been serviced multiple times with the BHR coils installed), and Mazda never asked about when the coils had been replaced.

to be honest, they're really only looking to make sure you did regular oil changes, that's their biggest concern.

The decision is completely yours.

I take my car to the dealer a couple times a year for oil changes. I bring a box of donuts with me each time. I have had the owner of the dealership compliment me on my car and specifically respond to my question about would the coils void my warranty "hell no, you're fine. I wish these came stock"

granted, that doesn't mean they can't change their mind.. but since i'm a regular customer, grease the service department with treats, and i'm always nice while there, I feel it's been cheap insurance to give me a better than fair chance if I ever need an engine replaced.
