Best gasoline system cleaner?
Best gasoline system cleaner?
We all know about the existence of Seafoam. And it's controversial, as a lot of people recommend it, and all the opposite...
But what is the best injector/gasoline cleaner for a regular use?? I'm asking about the typical additive that you add to the fuel por technically clean the injection system.
I Premix every tank, and I don't know if it's gonna be probably incompatible...
Any experience?

Good quality fuel contains all the necessary cleaners already. They're all basically the same toluene solution under different branding and slight variations in formula. You can't get too wild with formulations without risking dissolving rubbers and plastics. They don't hurt... But they also don't really do anything your (good quality) fuel isn't already doing.
As far as seafoam, you can run it once in a while especially if you live in a cold climate and/or store the car for a long time. It picks up any water you might have accumulated in the tank through condensation. That's what it was originally designed for in marine applications. Hence the *Sea*foam.

I use whatever is on sale at autozone. I use it every oil change. Some of the products include Chevron fuel system cleaner, Lucas fuel injector cleaner, and Royal purple fuel system cleaner. As mentioned above, Seafoam is good for periodical maintenance. I use it right before I’m about to change the plugs on the rx8 so about every 10k or so.
