22lbs of Weight Gone
OK, here are the first pics of the Odessey battery install. Notice the weight of the new Mazda supplied battery in my 8 was 38.6 lbs! Yikes.
End result - removed 38.6 lbs of lead weight hanging 7" out over the front axle line, and 7" to the right, and replaced with a 16.6 lb battery/cable weight 12" inside the axle line and 15" to the right at the firewall. Also added connector for the Schumacker Battery Companion charger/maintainer.
Removed 38.6-16.6 = 22 lbs of ugly lead
Similar left-right car balance w/driver
Lower PMI & improved front-back weight balance
Washer bag is just set in place to show location. Last thing to finish.

One more up close. Unit is mounted at a slant to accomodate my (ordered) Autoexe Strut bar which extends a brace to each firewall back corner.
