Couple things, why do RX-8 batteries seem so vulnerable? And for those who do not drive their car regularly, do you use a Battery Tender to keep the battery fresh?

Heat, it's cramed between the coolant tank and engine with little to no airflow.

That's good to know. I am a big fan of the Battery Tender. Have used them on my other vehicles for years with fantastic results.

Outside of the normal things that all vehicles are subject too, are there any other issues RX8-specific regarding letting one sit unused for extended periods of time?
