Battery Ground for P0336 Code

I am attempting to perform the battery ground cleaning procedure for the crank sensor code P0336 extended crank concern. If anyone has performed this repair can you tell me the easiest way to access the ground? It looks like you can completely remove the airbox or completely remove the battery and battery box. The ground is p[ositioned at an angle underneath the airbox but the box looks like a pain to remove. The battery box has two bolts underneath a coolant hose that looks like it can't be reached with an open end wrench. Before I start disassembling some advise would be appreciated.

Ground cleaning procedure?
Hopefully you already started with cleaning the e-shaft sensor, followed by resetting the NVRAM to reset the e-shaft profile.

Thanks for the reply. Bulletin 01-017/05 states if you are having code P0336 during start up then perform this procedure. I am having extended crank issues with this code on start up. It has the updated starter and Interstate battery already. I figured this would be an easy fix if it was the culprit.

I just looked up that service bulletin...
The ground is simple to reach, just remove the battery box.
There are two bolts under the coolant hose and one at the bottom of the box.

While the airbox is out, I would still clean the eshaft sensor and reset the NVRAM though.
Here is where the ESPS (Eccentric Shaft Positioning Sensor) is located:

To reset the NVRAM:
  1. Turn ignition switch to "ON" position, but do not start engine.
  2. Pump the brake pedal at least 20 times within 8 seconds after the ignition switch is turned ON.
  3. The oil pressure gauge needle will sweep to the middle and back down.

I've tried to find the procedure to remove the eccentric shaft sensor in the DIY and I can't find it. Any idea where to find it or is it a simple unplug or unbolt procedure? Thanks for the help so far.

Thanks but I was asking if anyone knew where I could find the procedure to remove the sensor in order to clean it. Best!

Ummm.... remove single bolt... disconnect electrical connector... remove sensor from engine bay...
You can get it from up-top if you remove the intake box, or jack up the car and get it from underneath.
