Does anyone know where i can find a diy on how to change the axle boots on a 98 honda civic? ive searched google and every one i found didnt have pictures anymore, they had been removed. and i'd much rather not spend four to five hundered dollars when i could spend thirty.

Just get new cv assemblies, don't bother just replacing the boots. Pull wheel, loosen axle bolt (impact required), loosen tie arms and pull hub assembly away so the axle comes out, then yank the axle assembly out of tranny. Reinstall in reverse order.

I have seen axle bolts so tight the wheel will turn while the car is on the ground when using a breaker bar. It may come off easy, it may not.
