Hello, I have a 2005 manual and I need to replace my engine.
I keep coming across engines taken from an automatic trans, so my question is if there'd be any complications (computer etc) from getting an engine from an automatic and pairing it with my manual trans.

There are some major differences between and 05 Auto & MT engine. Number of intake ports, power is lower, you will need the ECU also. Are you over 100,000 miles, why do you have to pay for this out of pocket? If you do have to buy an engine you can get 6 port MT engines from more than one source.
