Does any grade of ATF work for this? i have a 2004 04 plate RX8 with really bad starting WHEN HOT issues and have been advised that it is a compression problem but really dont want to fork out for a new motor any help/info would be great.

it will only help dislodge a stuck apex seal in the rare instance same as for any of the other zoom-zoom/seafoam cleaner stuff (yeah, it was never about removing carbon n00bs), which is why it probably won't work for you anymore than most anyone else

 

Nevertheless, a good point to always keep in mind as we are afterall dealing with rotaries and apex seals...
