Assistance interpreting instructions

I have ordered and receive OEM fog lights for my 8. I have read through the instructions on removing the front bumper, installing the fog lights and installing Racing Beat air exchanger and oil cooler guards... no issues, until I get to adjusting the fog lights, it reads "9 . Loosen the screw and the adjusting bolt, move the front fog light in the direction of the arrows, and adjust the front fog light to the position shown in the figure." (See attachment). Can someone please explain what they mean by "adjust the front fog light to the position shown in the figure"? It is totally just kicking my a**. Thanks

I kind of see your point. You know the up/down screw part correct? I went and measured mine and the center of the fog light bulb is about 14 1/2" from the ground. Why don't you start off with that and see how it looks.

No issue with anything other than "adjust the front fog light to the position shown in the figure"... I understand what they are saying with the vertical adjustment... just the lateral. Taking a closer look at the diagram, there is no adjustment for the lateral. I think I have it figured out. Thanks

Looking at the rest of the Fog light docs I thing the page you posted just states that the blub has about 2.4" of travel up/down.

So when you installed your fog lights one was up one was down?
I dont get it?

They should be plug and play! I just installed a fog light on my friends 8 on Monday with no probs.

I just got them in the mail yesterday... I was reviewing the docs and this part was stumping me. Update: I talked with some of the mechs where I work on how they interpret this and they said that they read it as saying that the center of the fog light beam should be 2.4 inches off of the ground when the car is 9.8 feet from the screen. I'll let y'all know if that looks right when I install them this weekend.
