Anyone know how many coolant temp. sensor we have?

Hi,

Does anyone know how many coolant temp. sensors we have? does the computer use the same coolant sensor to control the cooling fan, as well as the engine(fuel)?

thx

ok, thx.

Well, i was trying to find some way to manually turn the cooling fan on all the time when i m at the track.

On of the idea was to hack the coolant temp. sensor. that is if there's 2 different sensors, but since there's only one. It might cause the engine run differently.

My next idea would be try to jump the fan relays. I remember reading something how it can't be done. Anyone know if it's prossible? or maybe i just need to test it myself?

My next question would be, How does the pcm controls the fan relays? does it give it ground or 12v? or some other wave signal?? any help would be great

if you overheat when you're tracking, the fan mod will not prevent you from overheating. You will still overheat, just maybe a bit slower.

it didn't really over heat yet, but i hope i can keep the car cooler and i know it's running very hot after 10mins of lapping in a hot day. Also gets the car cooler faster, when i finish the lapping.

Anyone know, if there is wiring diagram for our cars online??

You can wire the relays to a switch and turn them on manually....

haha...u are going to laugh at me......nothing other then the stock gauge, but i notice my coolant overflows from the rad cap/tube. Level was good before the track, and after it was low. Car might had overheated already, i dont' know, all i know is it was a hot day and car was running very hot.

yeah..i just found the wiring diagram. the pcm controls all 3 relays with ground, so i m thinking i just need to wire up a ground switch and just switch it when i m at the track.

^^^ not good.
Stock gauge doesn't move at all till you hit 230 degrees. 235 = time for warm up laps...ASAP.
