I am astounded that people can advertise and sell junk like that. Where are the state Attorney Generals when we need them?
At best, it will reduce the weight of your wallet, and that might translate into better performance.

KIT had one of these so did the Dukes of Hazard.
That's why they where so L88T.
(I'm sorry but, no these do NOT work. There will either be no change or you will lower you mpg. Also, you are risking that a piece of cheap poorly made metal will brake off a ruin your engine. Such damage would NOT be covered by your warranty. Even if something else should brake off in your air intake and damage your engine they could blame it on this a void your warranty. Avoid at all costs.)
(Nothing cheap will give you MPG or HP / Torque. If they could car companies would just stick em in their cars, up their numbers, and sell more cars. To end an overly long post.... snake oil my friend, snake oil)

Never trust good responses on ebay. They should be there BUT what you really want to look for is the BAD responses.
Also, check out what it's he bought by looking at what feed back he left.
There is a LOT of ebay fraud out there.

Funny thing about this item. I had the Typhoone Type one intake. I mounted a turbonator in the very front of the aluminum neck. It did help that system. I took it out and it ran worse. That led me to change out the intake totally. The MAF did better with it on the Typhoon type one. I first started decreasing the pitch on the blades gradually, until I just removed it. The less pitch the better, but all the way out the MAF went crazy. My hypothesis was the incoming air was in wrong form due to the filter design. I changed the wide body filter with a inverted cone filter. A closer design to the Type 2. Instead of the air rushing in from the sides converging into the neck was a bad design. The air needs be more controlled, focused more from the center, than the sides. This made a huge difference. The turbonator was actually helping the Typhoone one design. It was drafting down the turbulances before the MAF, even though it was causing some drag.
In some cases the turbonator will help. In some cases it will not. If the intake system is a good design then it will not work. If it is a bad design then it will.
I put one on my 1999 Land Rover. The gas mileage jumped 3 to 4 up. It has a bad intake design.
The RX-8 has a straight shot, with no bends. The cars with turns and bends in the intake will probably see some benifit. That Land Rover sure did.

If the filter/intake are correctly designed, then this thing will f@ck up your intake, throw your MAF waaaaayyy into a fit, and generally make your car run like ****. Not to mention that it might actually be dangerous for your engine.
A couple of decent -at the least- mechanics, which were not biased, bought a few of these ebay "power mods", tested them, and found them to be -at best- of little or no help at all. Some of them -like this one here- were dangerous. I have had a personal experience with one of these products, and I can assure you they ARE indeed dangerous
That's all the info/proof I need.

i have a 1st k&n filter and i bought the craponator i put that thing in front and back of the MAF it did nothing positive a gave me a CEL, idle, pourly and had all kinds of jumps on the acceleration curve. in other words it suck @$$. so i left a neutral feedback cause the guy did not invent the product but delivery was fast, he wrote back to me a neutral and complaint about my thougths on it.

only thing you may see that looks bad but isnt... is the grounding kits. they actually help sound quality and some even say that it really does help your computer work better. no proof on that one. but the audio is a definate. i have 2 amps and i never heard a clearer hit on my subs or a clearer more constant treble than after this. cheap 2 like 30 bucks.
