Anyone with AEM intake...or not.

I just installed an AEM cai, now that wasn't fun in and of itself. but now my car is acting shitty. When I rev it up it goes to 6500 rpm and won't go higher, it's like it's redlining at 6500. Anyone with this intake have this, even if you don't and know what it is/what to do please please help.

After all the labor of doing the intake and this I am simply now. Why do cars have to be so picky?

Did you install this by yourself or did you take it to professional shop to install it.
I have my AEM Intake done at the shop. I have more power and loud sound comming out from my muffler. My redline is fine at 9500. NO problem with it.

Did you also reset the KAM which contain the sensor profiles?
I had to do this when I installed my AEM CAI.

Turn the key to the 'ON' position (but do not start the car)
Rapidly press the brake pedal 20x until you see the oil pressure gauge sweep back and forth.
And thats all. You'll find that this is something you need to do as you modify your car.

I did it myself, and it's really odd, my car did that I made the thread. Then I left work a couple hours later, no one had replied yet so I was worried. Got into my car and she started, revved it up and it went to redline no problem at all, so I don't know WTF but it's working.

From what I understand (and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) is that the PCM has a battery that holds some data and simply disconnecting the main battery will not clear your KAM (unless you keep the battery disconnected for a few days). That is why you must perform the 20x brake deal after installing "performance" mods to clear the sensor profiles and allow them to "relearn" themselves (plus you won't lose your radio presets).
