Exclamation any ideas what this little piece is??

this little clip popped out in my trunk today when i was messing with my tail lights. I was working on the passenger side. I must have spent 20 minutes comparing both sides of the trunk to see if there was still one on the driver's side. I am stumped. Thank you for any input ahead of time.

Edit: grr, images are a bit blurry. 8MP camera too. jeez.

That is a trim clip that holds some plastic trim in place. The flat part of the plastic trim would slide between the two parallel metal parts (best seen on the middle pic), and there is a hole in the sheetmetal of the car where the metal clip pops into.

no they actually are mainly for the trunk back panel that holds the rod for the jack. underneath the top part of it. Also for the back panels under the rear winshield that cover the speakers. Pretty much the only places...

not in the seatbelt clips

hmm. 2 of those hold down the rear deck speaker panels. Not sure where else they are located.

Tamas is right........and.......it's kind of a bitch to figure out where and how it goes in there. I had this question a loooooong time ago in a thread far, far, away. I will see if I can find it. If you were messing with the tail lights, then that's it fo sure! If I remember it goes with the rear center panel at the trunk opening.
