So I have JapanParts working in this; Auto Staff on Japan sells a kit that extends the slave cylinder bleed screw hole with a hose up to the top of the firewall for easy access. Might seem a bit steep, but the M7-1.0 bleed screw hole flared adapter fitting essentially doesn’t exist, just the bleed screw. It just isn’t considered a fluid connection except for bleeding. In my search I came across numerous threads where people are looking for them. So currently $155 + shipping. The braided hose is 2 meters long and you have to finish it off with the two supplied AN hose fittings to the necessary length needed for where you mount it. Or you can get one finished for the RX8 through RMagic, but it will cost 2x more. That’s where I initially found it, but no way was I going to pay that much.

??????????????????

Or you could make one cheaper using a std USA hose by machining/tapping out the bleed hole, but then you have to do that with every slave cyl replacement. They call the device at the top bleed end a “super bleeder”. Have no idea what it really is and they don’t say, but suspect it’s just the usual overhyped JP marketing blah-blah-blah. Company is currently on national summer vacation over there, so ot might be another week or three before it can be purchased through JapanParts.

Be awesome to put a speed bleeder in the end of it if you could. Can you not just get a speed bleeder for the slave?

I use a piece of hose shoved on the loose bleed screw and a big syringe normally used for mixing 2 Stroke and gas and pull on the syringe until fluid comes into it. If you get the syringe all the way out and there is still no fluid. Take it off the hose push it syringe down put back on hose and pull again. Once fluid makes its way into the syringe pull hose off screw and tighten. It works good for me.

Yes, the slave takes an M7-1.0 speed-bleeder if you want to do that. The issue is reaching it. Which it’s not impossible, but a bit difficult and a general pain. This just makes it more easy and convenient. It’s really more for a racer than street car. No need for a speedbleeder though if you just bring the bleed hose up and then turn it down; the fluid trapped in the hose before it turns down doesn’t allow air to get back into the system. I’ve done this for decades bleeding by myself; brakes, clutch, etc.

Vacuum bleeder. I spent 2 days (about 4 hours) doing mine by pumping. I changed the master, slave, and stainless clutch line while I was at it. Finally gave up and got a bleeder. I was done in 20 mins

Gravity bleed. Simple and safe. S2ki.com has a diy that I adapted to perform this after I completed the brake fluid work. Slow as heck. At one point I though it's not working, but the bottle was filled with old fluid. I just let it bleed out for a day or two in the garage. Helps if you have other cars to use. Clutch pedal works great.

So I broke down and ordered the slave bleed extension kit from Japan. Japan Parts was unable to obtain it directly, so I had to bid/order it off the Yahoo.JP site using a JP buying service and then pay them to box & ship it to me. Paid way too much, but didn't want to monkey around with it considering everything else going on and my slave will be too hard to access with some other mods. Which a street car doesn't have to be that concerned with bleeding it once in a blue moon compared to a competition car with a mini race clutch. it will be super easy to do with the bleed screw now located up by the master cylinder brake fluid reservoir.
