any engine failures with Cobbs AP, and/or sohn adaptor?

just wondering if these items will take care of the common engine failures, every time I read an "getting another engine" thread it seems they don't have either of the Cobbs ap and/or the sohn adaptor equipped...

if you use anything "improperly", it will damage your engine.

applies to everything.

They will definitely help if you have a tuner adjust the OMP flow. But I think pre-mix is really the only solution for 04-08's.

I have read about prmix, but between your fuel pump filter and fuel filter, how much is really getting it?

I am just seeing if the cobbs from MM and the sohn adaptor are the saving grace for the rotory

sohn adaptor will help, but the oil is sprayed towards the outer edge of the rotor, so the center area isn't getting lubrication. You can look at the rebuild link in my sig to see my engine internals - the rotors edges where the oil was sprayed on them was spotless, but not so much elsewhere.

i think most people who use sohn also premix. myself included.

the junk u're seeing came from gasoline. that filter cannot filter a "good" premix.

I dont have a problem with idemitu.

^haha......

the cobb can either help or save your motor....have an idiot try ot tune the pcm easily can ruin a motor and fast!....on the other had can increase the OMP rate but like said above the center of the apex seals don't get the lubrication they need....so many of us premix(including me) to help with that.....

but JEDI must not like his car so he doesn't

The question is invalid unless it's a 2009 or new engine.

All years before that have had the incorrect programing from the factory for the OMP.

Therefore the damaged is done before installation of these aftermarket products.

My engine is at 130000 miles... no misstype... no premix... Its all about changing the oil often enough and taking care of your car, and a little bit of luck...

Yeah but we all know you hate your engine and want to see how far you can abuse it. -j/k

News Flash: our engines are NOT ticking time bombs!

130k isn't all that hard with proper maintenance.

Expo1 had 100K+ on his engine tracking it regularly and only rebuilt it due to an oil seal leak.

Its not hard. but no premix ? I wouldnt ... blah.

are you sure your engine is still working within spec? Have u ever check the compression on it ?

Just because it start, it runs, it gets u from point A to point B. doesnt mean its within spec. ask me how I know.

Im not talking crap, its true.

If the motor doesn't go to at least 100k I will shoot someone, . I am running synthetic(3k OIC as usual), premixing, and just ordered the SOHN which I will run 2 stroke through.

11 metric drops, so that's like 4 quarts.
