any bad affect of remove dust cover on the wheels?

any bad affect of remove dust cover on the wheels?

i just changed a new drilled and slotted brake rotors, but the dust covers look so uglily. so i want to remove them, any bad affect of remove them?

do you mean the metal guard that sits behind the rotor? If so leave it alone.

It's a heat shield, there are rubber bushings directly behind it.

When you call it a "dust cover", I think of the aftermarket parts that bolt on between the wheel and rotor (keeping brake dust off of the wheels.) If this is what you are talking about, then yes, get rid of it.

But, as others have said, if you are talking about the heat shield behind the rotor... Leave it alone, it serves a significant purpose.
