When I was going through the process to return the 8 - which I did not complete- I mentioned this issue. The maintenance guy from the dealership called me back and they had taken that noise issue up with the engineers. Verdict - it is still normal. I still have the 8 and I do not notice the noise as much but I think it has to do with the fact that I am probably getting used to it. Still a dream to drive - it is going away for the winter soon
