Does anyone have experience with tranny problems while having an AFE Short shifter? I've been reading and im pretty sure its my syncro thats shot, my fifth gear grinds everytime (ONLY at highway speeds) when I downshift, and I have never had a grind before and I'm grinding everywhere this past week, even 2nd gear randomly as I accelerated, with the clutch fully suppressed...

I have an 06 with only like 28,000 miles so I'm hoping im fine but my major concern is...

Do I have to remove the AFE Short shifter before taking it to the dealer for warranty work? will my AFE Short shifter void that, under the "aftermarket parts section"?

For the 10 minutes it will take to remove it I would go that way

The shifter isn;t the problem...but they will use any excuse to deny warranty claims...so why chance it

 

unless you are friends with your dealer, and I mean "come over to my house and nail my wife" kinda friends, take out the shifter and pop that stock one back in.
