ABS, Break, and Traction Control lights come on

Okay gotta situation here....
First off I ran offer some crazy junk on the freeway that I couldn't get around without taking out a couple of cars. End result was left rear flat, rear bumper broken, align screwed, no to mention a 3/4 inch clearance on the left rear tire and wheel well, Which rubbed going through anything.

My cars has the Espelir 1" lowering springs, 18x8.5f 18x9.5r. Ride height was perfect before this.

Anyway since then I got a new tire and 4wheel alignment done. Before that the car would pull to the right aggressively and never really felt the same at all. When I get on or off any circular on/off ramp at any speed my ABS, Break, and Traction Control lights come on and stay on unless I restart the car.

And since the alignment nothing has changed except the car doesn't pull nearly as bad as it did. But it still pulls to the right and feels second hand compared to how it use to feel. So what do you guys think is wrong are my springs messed up, maybe traction control system? And would having a new tire and three 85% tread tires affect my steering. Oh it vibrates really bad now at about 90 mph sucks!

Thanks in advance
Wendell

Is it still under warranty? Just take it to them and see what they have to say regarding the lights. It could be something super simple that may have happened or it may be something super expensive.

Make sure you let us know what they said.

My guess...............when you initially ran over whatever it was, you knocked the connector loose or damaged it in some way. Start with that rear where all the damage was and check out that connector. I would also look at the front one on that side as well. This maybe the source of all the lights and stuff. It could've happened at that time or when someone was performing the supposed fixing. This ain't gonna cure the vibration at 90 or the pulling you feel, so I'd say they probably didn't get the alignment right. Get them to print out the numbers and post them here. Now................go check all the wiring and connectors right there by both the front and rear wheel hubs.

Thanks Mazurfer I'll take a look, would they still have the numbers I took it to Mazda to have it done about three weeks ago maybe even longer. This is a good Mazda by the way "well at least the service is".

Yeah HitMaNN its still under warrenty I still have about 8,000 miles left to 50,000 I think its covered to 60 but who knows.
Will they still cover what ever it is even though the springs aren't stock? I like these guys so I don't want to go in complaining about something that's my fault if it has something to do with the springs (which I doubt)

Thanks guys

Hey wouldn't they have noticed if the connections were abnormal?

i had this issue before. its a fault in the ABS, TCS system when it detects a strange behavior of the wheel speeds. because you are running different tires sizes, it happens more easily esp during a on or off ramp where you go in a circle. just shut off and restart and everything will be fine. no issues.

Hmm....thats odd but could be true, although I didn't have this problem before, I've had the wheels for at least a year without issues.

Could be my $#!*% combination of stock struts after market springs and wide tires.

Thanks

Well...if it means anything at all..........I'm 255 wide in the back on 9.0 0r 9.5 wide rims(can't remember)..........stock shocks and RB springs(only 1/2 inch lowered) and I've never seen it and I take cloverleafs at some pretty good speeds!

Were you street racing or something ?

It could be possible that your wheels were bent. Cuz when something is bent, you can only feel it when you go fast. Just like my wheels back then. damn potholes in NYC.

You got an alignment but did you get the tires balanced?

Thanks

mine only happened when i went up the same ramp that went in a circle for 270deg at a particular speed. anything lower you dont get it. so it has to do with the calculation of the differences in each wheel speed and it throws this when i doesnt make sense of it
same ramp on stock wheels with same size tires all round no problem at all. i'm very sure its the tire diff, 270deg and the speed.

its just a false call of the traction control system i believe. it happened to me once, i was taking an apex on a turn with the speed almost at the edge of breaking traction. around 40 to 50 MPH on a turn.

during the turn those lights came on and turned off after i restart the car. that was right after i changed new tires, so i think is because the traction control system was used to how the car handle before and after i get new tires with loads of traction it kinda changes the way it controls it.

since you just got your alig and all the wheel stuff fixed, you car might just have to get use to it. see if still does it after awhile.

Nah wasn't racing I was coming from Irvine... cops would have popped me with out even flashing the lights. I was changing lanes, I was behind an Expedition or something like that. The second I changed lanes I saw a black chunk of material on the road couldn't get around it without hitting people so I took one for the team....me looked in the rear view and saw $#!% flying everywhere...not as bad as it sounds but still sucks.

I did have the tires balanced....well at least the one that was replaced. I think that may be my first problem its a brand new tire different tread and overall size compared to the others. I tried to get the same brand but they were out. Might as well replace them all and reinstall the TPS while I'm at it. I'm still interested in getting the alignment numbers though. I find it odd that Toyota leaves the numbers in the car for you and Mazda won't even tell you they exist. I took the 4runner in yesterday and when I got it back there they were along with a fresh bottle of Toyota water.

You changed one of your tires to a different one ? of course your ECU gonna get some funky readings.

You sure you really balanced everything? like the rear axle and stuff. cuz sometimes there might be more internal damage than you think.

P.S : I hate cops.

You should have balanced both tires. The tread pattern may cause part of the issue.

You guys are more than likely right. Didn't realize cars were getting this smart. especially anything under 50k. I know BMW and all those are set up in way that they sense everything. Didn't know the 8 was that keen, cool yeah I'll knock out the tire issue first and take it from there. I had them do a four wheel alignment but that was it mainly.

And nycgps I'm not too fond of them either, although its funny cause I live with one but they aren't as bad as they seem when they're off duty.

Dont under estimate any Japanese Auto Makers.

Look at GT-R, the world's most advance transmission, and it can even eat Porshce and Ferrari for Breakfast.

Speaking of which how much is that expected to cost when it reaches the market?
