The CEL on my week-old '07 came on this morning. I've only got about 300 miles on the car. I unscrewed/rescrewed the gas cap, went to work, parked it, and turned it off. At the end of the day, I fired it up and the light was still on (and has remained on after a couple of stops on the way home). The car seems to be running fine, but I'm not happy about it. If it's still on tomorrow, I'll give my closest Mazda dealer a call. The closest one is about 25 minutes from work, whereas the dealer I bought it from is about an hour away.

My CEL had gone out and after filling the tank yesterday, within a few minutes it came on again. So, I took my 8 to the dealer this morning, and sure enough it was the "GAS" code.

I thought about it for a moment and figured that it was because at the gas station when I did a fill-up I didn't immediately turn off the engine. And in NJ, you're not allowed to pump your own gas, so I pulled in, the guy asked how much and started pumping in the gas. A minute later, I realized that the car was still running. ARRRRGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!

So, this GAS ISSUE is a real sensitive thing ...... So, be aware guys.
