26,000 Mile Shock Replacement
Just finished putting on new Tokiko Blue rear shocks. Car was thumping hard over bumps so I took a look underneath and found oil all over the driver's side shock.
26K??? Can't complain too much though, it's the first major item thats broken.
I'm the original owner, 2005 Sport 4 speed.
Special thanks to Robin Yang's DIY. The only thing I'd add is to use a #5 Allen key at the top of the shock when tightening the bolt to the shock tower - it keeps the shock from rotating.
The Blue's ride is great - highly recommended
