So, i took an rx8 for a test drive today, amazing. used, 100,000km. Runs well, just a couple tad problems it looks like. Firstly, the TCS slippy icon yellow light is on, DSC turns off after i warm her up. And the check engine light seems to be on. But its been a good month since its been on, and we needed to jump it, living in ottawa, its 30 below celcius. But it feels like it might be hesitating a little. maybe spark plugs. Anyways, anything i should make sure they do before i buy it? The exterior is mint, and these guys arent screwy characters, they sell nice cars. Interior is mint also. Love the car.

 

unless the price is AMAZING.. why would you risk buying yourself into so many problems?

if they want to sell a car THEY should take care of ALL existing problems.. this is an rx8.. a CEL could mean so much.. have you read anything about the car?

 

Do not get it unless you plan on making many threads about your problems.

If you see this many problems/possible problems before buying it...just imagine what you don't see.

 

With that many problems ? Take it only if it cost you 1000 bux.

 

i get 3 year warranty.. wow, Im a past turbo tiburon owner, and even with a pos turbo i still didnt worry about anything on it. But i mean, We had to boost it, so wouldnt the TSC have to be recalibrated? And it hadnt started in a month in -30celcius weather, so woudnt that throw a cel? Like, relax guys, its a mint car. I was just asking what i should tell them to do before i pick her up at 100k

 

the pretty lights are from the jump/battery dead situ. the TCS light wil go away with a full turn of the wheel to the completely back to the right then center. Pull the cel code but its probably because of the dead battery and jump. the hesitation is the plugs fouled after sitting so long.
