Alright i have somebody trying to sell me a 2004 Velocity red Rx8 with 193 000KM on it. the car is still on the original engine i called mazda and they never did anything to the engine. The car has a few cosmetic damages that i can fix myself.

First i will get the compression test done.
but what im more worried about is the 193 000km
i plan on using the car for track. He is asking me 1700$

should i even consider it or not?

 

depends on price

cuz honestly when u think about it, forget about the engine for now, there are so many things that's on it's way out on the car, think of all the bushings, shocks, springs, mounts, etc etc

for me, I wouldn't touch it unless I'm really out of options (or cheap enough)

 

he is asking 1700$ for it
the read fenders are rusted and would need to be cut and rewelded on thats basicly the main cosmetic damage on the car

 

$1700 seems cheap, if compression is decent and you have no problem fixing the cosmetic damage then I can't see why you woudn't buy it, but make sure you get the compression test done because the engine is probably on its way out and out of warranty, not gonna be cheap to repair
