also don't see what the big deal is. I've got had my 8 for 3 years, 48,000 miles, been to 2 track days, not a hint of a problem yet. Been following the regular maintenance schedule, adding 1 quart of oil (every 3000 miles) between every oil change (every 7500 miles).

EXACTLY... just DONT get an RX8. It will cause you headache upon headache, it will break down, it will have horrible gas mileage JUST like you said.. sounds like what you need is a MUSTANG. GO GET IT BOY!

Sigh.. people need to start thinking for themselves. Pisses me off to see threads like this, I could use some pie now.
