the under drive is going to give you 1 maybe 3 hp to the tire the ting that he really does is to help the engine rev faster reducing the weight in the engine search in you tube there is a video of a rx8 with out reeving up and the same one after the installation of the pulleys and there is a big difference in the speed that revs but not a gain in hp the car will get tho his peak in torque and hp faster

 

Racing beat intake, exhaust, and flash. Biggest difference you'll notice.
Car pulls hard to 9,300!

 

Having pullies gives free horsepower plus better gas mileage. Atleast with my cobra it does. I'd ghink it'd dothe same for rx-8s.
