I have a problem I want to Supercharger my Rx-8 but I want to Swap the Transmission for 6AT trans I have the 4AT trans currently in my Rx-8. Write back tell me if thats possible for the Rx-8

 

As far as i know it could be done but you need 6 port engine instead of the 4 port i think and you need the ecu from a 6 port

 

no, you don't need a 6port engine, you can do with the 4 port, you can put in the 6speed tranny, but you will have to retune you're ecu and also you're 6AT tranny's ecu, which will be a pain in the ***,

but seriously, why would you? the 4AT tranny can handle the supercharger just fine........just ask phil's 8!

 

just trade the 8 in. and get a 6speed auto, its better to do that then waste time and money and a headace

 

true, if you really want a 6speed that bad, trade it in man, I've tried to go through the hassle, its not worth it

 

I hope your not another one who has his own ideas and wants other to agree with him. There are one or two that turn up form time to time on this forum. If you are looking for good information from some one who is in the upfront of a/t innovation then post your questions. If you are just looking for a reason to trade in or talk shi* than give it up. I will not lie to you and will only give you tried and true input. If you do have legit questions, post them as I watch this forum on a regular basis and will answer you by post or PM.

I have the s/c with the 4port at and was one of the first.
