new rx8 AT owner. Hi!!
Hi! I am a new rx8 owner. Nice to meet you!!
Anyone can help me and answer following questions?
(1) Any recommendation of engine oil? What degree of oil is suitable for rx8?
(2) I don't know how to reset the mileage (trip) record, I can't see any button to reset it. Please help!
Thanks!

SEARCH is your friend.
I do this to save you before a ceratin someone sees this thread...trust me.
Anyway.............push the freakin button in and hold it, it will reset.
There are too many oil threads on this site, so please do a search and read.
Tip..................search requires more than three characters, so don't use just "oil", use something with more charcaters. There is also a "stickies" section to help you out.
Also...............add your location to your profile as it will help you out later when asking questions or other things.
Welcome to the addiction.

I'll snap his neck.
Congrats! What year, color, option package, etc?
I personally just use plain old dino valvoline 5w-20, like the manual says. But there are many people that have used certain synthetics with good success. Take a look at the "sticky" threads in the various sections of the forum. You will find all kinds of discussions on this kind of stuff.
The button is black, down near the trip gauge. You have to hold it in for a few seconds for it to reset. There is a second black button as well, which I believe switches your speedo from mph to kph and back. Probably the odometer too.
Like Mazsurfer said, take some time and study the owners manual. Lots of good info in there. Everybody should do that for every car they own. There is a lot of stuff you can skim, but take a really good look at it.

teonteon,
Welcome to the the cult.
Is it a new 8 or a good used one? Mazsurfer is right. Search is your friend. There is a wealth of info here and plan to spend some time reading.
