lagy at low rev help need help
Well I got the call from Hiley today. One of the tests they ran came back marginal so the Mazda said give him a new engine. So I will get my car back next Monday or Tuesday with a new engine. Happy and sad at the same time, least everything is free... sad part is that they gave me a Tribute to drive, and its handles just a tad different
I will update whenever I get the car back.

I got my car back today, is there any other break in instructions. The guy told just me to not set cruise control and dont drive at a constant speed for the first 500 miles.. Im hoping it warms up soon so I can see how it does.
Looks like the CEL wasnt from the engine problems but rather the gas cap, which I had mentioned to them had failed and then passed during my state inspection. They did change the motor mounts, plugs and popped in a new engine.

The owners manual gives the proper break in procedure for a new car. I would assume it would be the same for a new engine, except any brake related stuff. Racing Beat also has a break in procedure for new rotary engines that they recommend. It should be on their website. I just went with Mazda's when I got my car.
