Perhaps a new BHR AT Radiator. That would be agood upgrade for you.

you have my full support simplyphp, we have to same model 4AT, I was hoping to get 300 hp/300tq no more no less, we are pretty much on the same goal, except i am most likely do it with greddy turbo kit. I am about reaching that goal, most likely i will get my install before the end of this year.
P.S. make sure you have enough cooling mod, because that is the main thing.

Even with the massive number of people who own the greddy kit, only a small handful have gotten 300 whp out of it, and even that is pushing the turbo beyond it's capacity, which results with a lot of heat...

To be honest, I don't know how am I able to do it. It might sound like crazy talk, but then I always believe nothing is impossible, if simplyphp can run 300hp on his car, that will be a big break through, if he can do it then shouldn't we aim for a higher goal.

to be able to achieve that I am thinking about...upgrade the greddy turbo, change mid pipe, fuel pump, fuel injector, hks twin spark, 4.77 feed differential, level ten beef up tranny. pretty much everything that is available and i will do it. it will take a while, but its a fun project.

Thanks for your support, we're all in this together even if we achieve it individually one person at a time. In my case, I'm more wanting to know how much to expect than aiming for a fixed number. I'd be happy with 200whp honestly, so I could keep up with the MTs out there. Having 260 or more would just be icing on the cake :-)

In regards to the cooling - I am considering the BHR radiator now that Easy1 put it out there and I read up on it some more, that and the 180F thermostat. Already got the RE-medy water pump & the upgraded GReddy oil pan so that pretty much leaves the radiator itself. Awfully tempting.

Based soley on other people's dynos, I would say it is a probably a long stretch of the imagination to get 300ft-lb torque. I'm not at all entirely convinced I will even get 300whp even with all of my mods, having heard everything you [mysql], CRH and Easy1 have said. I'm still waiting to hear back from Scott@Mazsport for his estimation for my rwhp after the upgrades.

I doubt that the old cliche, "where there's a will, there's a way", applies to everything except the RX-8. I mean, it may sound absurd to get 300ft-lb torque / 300hp out of our Renesis, but who's to say that the end of story is "it's impossible"? Again, after reading the posts of the smart people, if I can run 300whp on my car, I'd be completely blown away and probably more surprised than happy... ok maybe equally happy and surprised

As for me getting 300ft-lb torque, I won't hold my breath because I've already spent too much money & need to save for the baby.

I mean...you know how when it first started, people were talking how AT RX8 can't do turbo or supercharge, now there is 3 people in here successfully got turbo, i think there is one got petitte supercharger. The result are great, it's safe and satisfy. as for get nearly 300tq, i am dedicate to do that, if at the end it don't work out, atleast i tried or atleast i am close to it. still a bad *** car.
on the coming spring break, me and my friend have already planned to go japan, so i will go visit the legendary Re-Amemiya, they are the first one that took interest about turboing AT car. When I come back I will tell you guys what they say about the potential that AT can become.

Phils8 has a pettit supercharged AT. I think there are quite a few people who have done successful AT turbos and supercharges, some of them may not even be on the forums. If you can get 300 torque, props to you & good luck doing it - keep me updated. Take some pictures while you're there - hopefully some spy pics of the next RX-9 lol

I don't think I am able to see rx9 at spring time.
I took all my money all from stock market, and now I have no confidence invest my money on stock company, so since nothing to do as a investor, me and my friend just going to travel japan korea and china.

A lot of people believe that the 4-speed automatic is the most durable transmission in the RX-8. The circumstantial evidence i have seen/heard seems to support that.

Now I'd better knock on wood so that my transmission doesn't break

If the 4at were delicate I would have broken it early on. I am not yet sure what HP it will handle but I will find out.
There are several ATs with turbos and most do not post here because of the abuse they get for driving a AT. There are even a couple more ATs with superchargers but they stay away for the same reason. You have to have a thick skin to post on this forum.

what number do you think it can push, 250tq? 280tq? even if it can't push close to 300tq, don't tell me it will be less than 250...

greddy kit will do about 280 whp, 215 torque.
esmeril kit does 400 whp and 300 torque.

So that will give you an idea of the spread between hp and tq on the car on a MT. It might be different on AT
