I plan to change the ATF to RedLine High Temp.
The shop manual says tranny capacity is 9.2 qts., but the dealer wants 12 qts.
Are the 3 extra qts. needed for flushing the system and the torque convertor?
Just curious.... at $7/qt., I better be

 

I think the book says 8.7 qts. To do a total flush and tq converter it would take about 11-12 qrts. a qrt and a half is wasted in the process. At least that what i was told by Cottmann
Sucks don't it.

 

Actually, I needed 13 qts. to flsh and fill. But car feels stronger now, smoother shifts, so it's all good.
