Is it possible to swap the 4 speed transmission for the 6? I know the answer is probably not but I want to confirm.

Didn't think so. But what does 4 port 6 port have to do with it? Isn't the 2 additional ports for air intake? I don't see what that has to do with transmission.

 

It's basically a different kind of engine.. In some way.. So it'd be somewhat impossible to do the swap.

The 6AT and the 6MT have the same engine, and ports, only difference is, the AT has the rev limit; Only exceeding 7500 I believe at redline so the power won't max out like the MT, which has the 9k redline..

 

How bout a AT to manual swap? Does the 4 port 13B match up to the 6port 13B's MT?

 

^^^ yes. it also matches the FC's and Fd's gear boxes as well.

The TCM get's mad that the AT is missing. You would also have to replace the tranny mounts and the drive shaft and the other manual goodies.

 

^ I'd be better just trading it in for a MT if that's the case..
