That was a major challenge with the stock box as well. I managed to find some silicon tape which helped a bit. The challenge is that there are tabs on the TB which makes it difficult to seal around.

I would cut the MAF tube on the RB kit and use a silicone coupler from it to the TB. Or get a custom MAF housing fabbed, but your most effective bet would be create a whole custom intake setup like some of the pettit guys and us Greddy guys have done.

yeah, with the TB being moved forward there is only so much room for the MAF assembly. I was thinking of just using a smaller filter inside the RB box, allowing the intake to just slide in there. The box would just be aesthetic.

Jeff made me a base FI map with re scaled injectors, waiting to make my first two logs when my replacement belt goes in. I am pretty sure I found my vacuum leak(s), just waiting on autozone to stop f'ing around with ordering this belt, it was suppose to be in 2 days ago.

That is unusual. I have not had this issue. Is the automatic tensioner installed correctly. No one else has reported this issue.

I installed the the only way it can be. However the belt was an inch and a quarter larger than the original (I found the peices skc) mabye the tensioner couldn't provide enough tension to prevent it from slipping. But why would you and I have two different size belts

Found the issue, My tensioner is too close to the alternator and it is providing just enough high RPM frictions to burn out the backs of the belts. But not detectable why turning it over by hand.

Going to put a washer behind the tensioner tomorrow for a few mm of clearance. and make sure the water pump pulley is properly torqued.

MM is concerned that at +25% STFT my car shouldn't even be running. He wanted to make sure the O2 sensor was plugged in (it was). So might be a perfect storm of unscaled MAF, vacuum leak, fuel pump.

I had lots of trouble with boost leaks.

The erratic bypass also causes a lot of tuning problems. I will pull mine apart tomorrow and reinstall to see if it helps the odd hesitation I am getting. It seems to come and go sporadically.

Found my leak, now just need a clear day to tear the upper intake manifold apart again. RTV will be my friend.

FYI the only leak I could find was a loose VDI to manifold connection, Can't believe that small a crack could cause this much problems

I have seen a very minor vacuum leak at the service port keep a freshly rebuilt engine from idling.

It may just be my inexperience, but +25 STFT and 20AFR seem extreme for that kind of leak, but I will find out tomorrow. If its still leaking I will smoke test. Hope its not injector gaskets, I made sure they were well lubricated with heavy oil.

well, while torquing the bolts down on my VDI to the proper 8 ft/lbs to close up this leak, i broke a head off, both bolts. WTF? I have the torque wrench set and everything. If the wrench is out of wack, or it is too low a number, how do i know when i get it right.

PS i was able to pull the broken ends out with a vice grip.

Where was the leak? They are a pain and I check my connections at least monthly or when I detect that the car is running a bit rough or stalling on idle.

Detected another oil leak. It appears that there is a slight nick in the second oil cooler line from rubbing against the under tray which was cut to accommodate the intercooler pipes. So the sharp edge has dug into the pipe.

Thankfully, the rest of the oil leaks have been fixed.

the gap where the blower and bypass plates bolt to the main mounting plate....

My own damn fault for taking it apart to polish it, but I thought i sealed it well. So small a crack they couldn't even find it with a smoke test, but its so long that it lets a lot of air in.

Last time I used Hylomar to seal it up, maybe that is too pliable for that area? Maybe i just didn't use enough. Guess I am tearing it out and busting out the silicone this time. And I deploy in 3 weeks.... Jesus

Well I never got this leak sorted out before I took my Government paid vacation. Looking forward to getting home in a few weeks to tear her down and reseal everything with silicone.

Few topics of discussion:

While the Supercharger is off I need to reroute my vacuum lines, they are a rat's nest. I saw on here a year ago someone using a small vacuum reserviour with 1 in and 4 out prongs. Can't seem to find anything online other than brake vacuum boosters. Anyone else remember seeing this? My internet in good ole Afghanistan is less than desirable to search through build threads for pictures. EDIT: Similar to this http://www.goldeneaglemfg.com/index....roducts_id=322

Need to make some DIY OMP lines since I busted one trying to reroute them.

Catch can and 2-stroke oil tank need to be strapped down somewhere (who knows)

Finally put in the bigger fuel pump

And finally as a reseal the compressor anyone have idea how to pull the pulley? It is on there tight. I can't seem to fit my pulley remover under the pulley (not enough clearance) My original idea was to just cut it and have a new one made, but that seems out of the question these days. Think I could ground down my pulley puller arms to fit and take a torch to it? I am worried about bending the aluminum.
