In other threads, I might agree with you, twinkie.
I guess I simply saw it as humorous...but then again I watch those human catastrophe reality shows for the lulz...

Whats your dysfunction?

Seriously...is it like a personality trait? Or are you angry at something? I cant possibly imagine your an *** all the time...that requires too much energy...so you either feel pissed and jaded...or your simply screwed up...

I cant help but be driven to understand things...and you have caught my attention...

New thread?

The first part was sarcasm. The second part was serious (hence the "seriously").

I have no anger, and am not pissed or jaded. I thoroughly enjoy life, and all the wonderful things it has given me; life is too short to be pissed and jaded.

While you're making judgments though, why don't you focus your judgements on your friend here? He has over 10,000 more posts than I do, and I would wager a pretty good percentage of them are negative or belittling towards someone else.

That takes quite a bit of energy.

Regardless what you think of me, I'm totally serious. I hope they sell hundreds of these things. If they do, I may finally get to see a turbo RX-8 do something in person besides sitting and trying to look pretty.

I have a hard-on for RX-8s; I don't care if they're turboed, supercharged, nitroed, or NA. I like them all.

Brand new.
I want the BHR/MM kit. I sent you a PM a few weeks ago - haven't heard anything back.

That's because we are going to release the Yukon coil kit and fill all 100 pre-orders before we then focus on the turbo kits.

Yeah, but that post with MM saying he has a full kit there got me excited.
I going to do something sensible with all this money if I wait too long.

Along those lines; the kit is in a bit of a "transition" in the sense that it was an "upgrade" kit intended for current GReddy owners and it is gradually becoming it's own stand-alone, all-inclusive, kit. With the time it takes to procure each/all of the components necessary for a quality kit I want to first handle the coil orders so I/we can then devote all my/our time to making the BHR kit as nice as we would like it to be. I realize that both the coils and turbos are taking a loooong time but we are doing what we can given the challenges we have been facing lately.

This particular kit - the one I have in my possession at this time - is a good demonstration of the way things get done around here.
It is, for all practical intents and purposes, the exact same system that is on my car right now.
And, it is also functionally identical to what will be the BHR system.

What is different about it is precisely what is different about Charles and I.

He sees a need and finds the right people to get the job done.
I see a need and I break out the angle grinder and the MIG.

For the production system to be successful, BHR will source suppliers for all of the individual components and put it together.

However, you have to start somewhere with a "prototype", and the system that is sitting on the floor of my living room is just that.
I sourced all of the parts the hard way and put it all together as a bit of "proof of concept".
Well, the concept is proven (to us, anyway) and I'd just like to get the stuff out of my living room so that I can paint the place!

I'll post up some pictures and such in a little while. I still have a few "we owe" to take care of and all the calibration stuff for the AP has me completely tied down at the moment.

But if anyone is serious about this kit (I don't mean offers or inquiries), feel free to e-mail me at jeff@mazdamaniac (.com).

Just to stay another step ahead of the masses; I rarely answer questions about the specific parts that will be included because the kind of intake or exact BOV that will be used is far less important than the main component.......the turbo. MM has a custom turbine and CHRA that he orders from Garrett which makes this particular 3071R a bit different than others on the market. Ancillaries like the intercooler, etc., are much simpler to acquire by comparison so I am not concerned. One thing I can assure you of is that the list of companies from whom we procure our parts reads like a "Who's Who" in the aftermarket and we don't believe anybody will be disappointed.

Again, I realize we have spent a LONG time discussing this stuff but only in the past month or so has BHR gone from a 2-guy operation 2,000 miles apart to a 3-man operation a mere 20-30 minutes from one another. I have spent more time in the past two weeks with MM and Easy than I have the previous 12 months, total. You can rest assured that once I move into the new crib (had a 1-week delay on the move-in) the progress will accelerate on all products.

im pretty sure thats the point of said 'kit'... take the greddy kit, replace the turbo and all the cheapish junk parts with qulity stuff and a bigger better snail.

of course im betting that fianl production versions of this kit will have unique piping etc and no longer be a "greddy upgrade" as it once developed from. the principal is the same though

oh IC.. cai you may be able to buy something Jeff can fabricate for you, or Mazsport sells a Greddy kit CAI, or you can do it yourself with the AEM CAI and make it work

You can get a used Gen 1 K&N MAF housing (they are getting hard to find now) or get the AEM CAI and modify it (isn't hard) to work.
