what's best sc?

Hi.. newbie on sc here. I looking on putting a supercharger on my 8 since I have new engine on it. I have consulted my techy on autodream and they have couple choices for me blitz? Or twin screw petite sc? Or so if so what's best on the market atm?

This thread wont end well.....

First off, do you have a S2? (09+) ... if so ... stop. Uncharted territory.

If you have an S1 ... search, there are NUMEROUS threads on SC's and the trials and tribulations.

"Best" is subjective. On ALL things. Do your reading and research to answer that question. What is best for me may not be best for you...

You cant get a Pettit unless a current owner sells you one.

Maintaing an 8 requires constant tlc and adding FI makes it doubly so. If you're not willing to spend the time doing research, the effort learning all of its quirks, and the money (think double the cost of the extra hardware if you do the install yourself) then I wouldn't recommend putting FI on the 8.

If you are, then you have a lot of reading to do. Either that or find a mechanic you trust to do the install/upkeep.

Good Luck.

Wrong, going FI on a series 2 is nearly impossible and only a small handfull have achieved it. Boils down to tuning issues.

Either way you have a lot of reading and learning ahead of you not to mention a hefty price tag associated with it

Perhaps its the reason why you see more and more rx8 selling on the ad now adays coz theres nothing mch you can do about em than typical intake exhaust. I love the car but if its I have no more optiona of fi. Has to let it go. Not unless I get 15 20g 20b conversion. It is what it is but rx8 is gutless. Sorry to say of all lovers including myself

There are probably 20 turbo 8s to every SCd one . Turbo 8s can be pretty amazing and the power potential is much greater.

Neither option is for the faint hearted or cash strapped however.

Yes, please go ahead and sell. You obviously don't have much time, effort or love invested in the rx8. Get something that will be more to your power level requirements. It will be better for you, as well as the rx8 community

Relax bud. And yes I have invested atleast 8g on mine just on parts and 6g on brand new fully built engine ceramic apex.
I really don't think anyone can drive one without giving enough attention to it. Rotary is a highly maintained car and I have dealt with it and definitely had fun driving it in car show or car meets. I will be posting a picture of my lovely 8 and tell me if I didn't put no love or effort into it.
Mainly I hate the fact driving with my crew with a bunch of evos, sti, skylines and mr2 all moded pulling 300whp or more, my 8 can't keep up with that haha

No where did I say money was an investment. The other three are the important ones, wrt this car. Money is just the tool to supply your time, effort and love into the RENESIS...

I agree that Paimon's post should have closed this thread.

I may decided to part out my car when I get home in a few weeks. If you're still interested I will be selling my Petit kit if parting out is the direction I go.

God, where to begin. Starts a thread interested in one of the best kits out there and ends on the worst possible FI solution.

Research at its finest

They got it all wrong, the lack of power increase is OBVIOUSLY down to tuning issues...
