Im planning on purchasing the RE Amemiya turbo kit and exahust system for the 8 seeing how they offer the best hp gain for an automatic. And I was also going to get a black halo radiator to deal with the added heat. But I dont really know wat else I should buy to deal with the turbo so nothing goes wrong. So any sugestions? And dont hate cuz its an auto. Its a 40th anniversary and the only one the dealership had.

Re Amemiya is a aftermarket japanese company that specializies in roatary engines and they made a turbo kit thats only for the automatic rx8's I belive that guarntees 280 hp wich is a pretty good gain for the automatic. But you can look at the thread Re-amemiya Automatic Rx8 Turbo and those guys go into some pretty good detail about it. But my question is what are the usual things I should do to stop the turbo causing any damage to the engine? Any help is greatly appreciated for im only 17 and my dad has never turboed a car but he knows how to do anything to a car because he was mechanic for many years.

I am well aware of RE Amemiya. I'd just like to see what components are in the turbo kit itself, and that link you posted doesn't say anything. You can't figure out what parts you need until you figure out what comes in the kit. If the kit just comes with a turbo, manifold, and some piping but no injectors or engine management well then you know you need those.

i would strongly suggest you read the major horsepower section before deciding on ANYTHING.

It's gonna take you a good while to read through all the posts, but you'll be much better informed to make a decision on which way you want to go to achieve forced induction.
