Turbo inlet pipe hitting motor mount
Hi,
When I installed the turbo the intake pipe that connects to the turbo that goes through the motor mount was very close. I Thought to grind some of the mount away but didn't feel like taking it all apart again. Now I think they are hitting each other because every once in a while a hear a sound similar to two aluminum pipes banging together. I will be grinding some of the mount there when I get a chance, but was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I have the stock Greddy Turbo kit.
thanks

2. Yes I put it there and took a ride around the block then took it out. There was no noise with it in then what I took it out the noise came back.

1. The cardboard didnt catch fire. I was well aware that it could and have two fire extinguishers in my car. It was for test purposes only.
2. If I rotated the pipe 180 it would literally have to go through the motor mount bracket so I am 100% sure it is installed correctly.

Original Turbo 'd Auto !!
I don't think you can change the clocking of the Greddy compressor. It has a index nub on the CHRA that fits into a notch in the compressor housing.
My charge pipe was really close as well. even after I put it on right.
