Turbo for 2009 RX-8

Perhaps I am blind but I haven't been able to find a turbo kit that says it works with a 2009 RX-8....anyone have a direction to point me in?

That's because none of them have been tested yet. Many things have changed between the 09 and previous models so if you are wanting to turbo you'll have to probably go custom. You sound as though you are looking for a 'bolt' on kit that will just work. There is more to safe, reliable turboing than bolting it on and running the car. You would have to tune it, get all the recommended parts and it involves way more than just getting a kit. Most kits come with the bare minimum.

I know for a fact none of the fuel management systems will work because the ECU has changed for the 09. None of the manifolds have been tested, but I assume since that part hasn't changed it should work. You would also have to worry about wiring up sensors and electronics, which from what I've tried to do so far I've found out is different; wires don't match up and things have changed, systems added or upgraded.

Most 09 owners also don't want to turbo and because of warranties as well. I thought about it, but decided against it. I am a FI noob but I know you really need to research and there is no cheap, easy solution like other cars.

I'm not expecting anything cheap or easy but thanks for the info on why one is not out yet. I would most like have it installed/set up by a reliable mod shop anyway, not myself.

The biggest roadblock is ecu management. Piggy backs would work but aren't recommended and because of low sales of 09-10s Cobb isn't scrambling to get this done. From what I understand they are working on it though...
