Traction when FI

After a new tune which requires a couple of gallons of race gas, I am having big problems staying hooked up in 1st gear and on the 1-2 shift. Even when I slip/feather the clutch, once the clutch is fully engaged it breaks loose again.

I have 235/40 18s: Goodyear F1s...do you think 19s or different tires or staggered might help?

19s and staggered setups are not the answer. get wideer and stickier tires.

how much power are you putting down?

You should be able to let the clutch out slowly like when your in bumper to bumper traffic.

have you dynoed yours ... well i have to say now that it is colder when i go all at it i also have problems but summer time i didn't have any ... it would stick like S... .i have 250 whp if you have more i can see how it would be very easy to looos your back. you can go wider but summer tires will not be the best when it is 40 F out there ... well you have to worm them up and then you be ok ...

It's not making much power up top, since I had the engine ported and the GReddy 18g just can't keep up.

Yeah, I can't accelerate in any gear other than 4,5,6 without loosing traction with my Potenzas.

It's the tires! My Michelin Pilots withered pathetically under boost, but my 245/40/18 Azeni rubber is sooooo sweet and much quieter, too.
