Unhappy Thought This is Relevant Here, GuitarJunkie Passed Away.....

I know a lot of people in this section have seen his posts and worked with him/gotten advice from him. Really nice guy, and his advice was amazing. FYI.

Man - Now I'm mega bummed.
His last post on this forum was a response to something I posted to him making fun of his attempt to sell an E-Manage.
At least we were having fun...

Definitely very sad-
I have seen many posts from Dave on this forum since I have been a member - many of which we too technical for me - but obvious he was into rotaries.
That reinforces my philosophy of live for today - you never know
Don't leave anything unsaid with your loved ones - you can tell I have had much therapy - and if you saw my therapist - you would know why

This is so sad. It's like he was there and suddenly...
What happened? Was he in poor health? Accident?

Coroner Case #700700857-- On Tuesday, 01/30/07, at about 9:55 AM, David Segalla, a 27 year old resident of Crestline, was driving a 1994 Mazda RX-7 southbound on Highway 18 near Mile Marker 14.08 north of San Bernardino, when he crossed over the center divider line and struck a northbound 2001 Saturn head on. Crest Fire responded to the scene and fire paramedics pronounced Segalla dead at the scene at 10:10 AM. The California Highway Patrol is also investigating. [013007 1510 SY]

Rest in piece brother.

I've never met him but have spoken to him on the phone a few times. Seemed like a pleasant guy and an important member of this community. He will be missed.
My condolences go out to his family.

Paul.

Did he play the guitar? I would assume the answer was yes, given his choice of forum names. May he play "zoom zoom zoom" in heaven - rock on GuitarJunkie, rock on.

He definitely played guitar. When you look like a member of Spinal Tap, that's probably going to be the case!

This is absolutely awful. Yes, he helped me too, and was very kind and gentle with his advice.

A tragedy.

Holy **** I was just joking with someone about me calling him over the weekend and he hasn't called me back, I was saying maybe he was in Jail. Now how do I feel? He was one working SOB, he got more stuff done in short time that it was amazing. He would come up here and help me out at an instant notice. He really liked to help out and get involved.

All of us here extend our condolences to his loved ones.

I guess he went doing what he liked, driving the **** out of a 7.

On a self centered note, Like if maybe you had an engine at his shop. What would you do and not be crude?

I tried calling you to tell you but I guess your phone has been off as it has been going straight to your voicemail. I didn't think that was something that I should leave in a message.

He kept saying he was going to send me that bad Renesis center housing but I never got it. Oh well. That's not that big of a deal.
