Superchargers owners please look!

Ok, before i start.. I didn't SEARCH! Deal with it and move on. ( Life's to short to spend it searching xP )

So I want to install a forced indution kit, and i was looking around here (wich didn't really help) but from what I hear and see pleople with Superchargers make more hp then a turbo in the 8..
I asked my 2 friends that knows more about forced indution then I do (one haven had a speed3 and now a VW cc and the other a subi freak (nuff said)) that i wanted a Superchager caus it seems to give more hp. right off the bat they said no! they told me I wouldn't be able to handle it. Thinking they were being the feminist jerks that they are i dont know if they're messing with me. Is harder to keep the car under control with a Supercharger then a Turbo?

BTW i do street race. And plan on taking it to Englishtown (Raceway) in the summer.

Please explain. I've seen Vids on Youtube where the 8 has made around 340whp with a sc and most turbo vids only make around 290whp at most..

Life is too short to explain information that has been rehashed 1000+ times for every noob that walks in here.

Superchargers dont usually push as much boost as turbos... But they spool up faster because they dont have turbo lag. When it comes to driving it results in either instantaneous power with the sc or with the turbo you get a little lag. I thought this was common knowledge lol drive a supercharged car, then drive a turbocharged car and see which you like better.

It is common knowledge. You both still not answering my question (wich i have not found the answer for even by searching!) silly boys.....

Will a Superchager be harder to handle (specially from a dig) then a Turbo charger?? <-- that is my question. So please enlighten me.

forum rules say no talk of street racing. even with 300hp these cars are pretty easy to handle. pettit kits feel like its factory but with more hp. its very smooth

The only discussion of racing on public roads will be those that are closed to regular traffic by the local government. (eg. Silver State Classic, Texas Mile & Formula Drift Long Beach)

Either way it is a modification to your car that you don't want to take lightly . It sounds like you are not particularly mechanically minded which means you will have to rely on others to do the work . Even if these others are competent mechanics it is highly unlikely they will know Jack about how to set up an FI rx8 .
In short - don't do it unless you enjoy having a broken down car that drains your wallet so quick you wont know what hit you!

Racing on open public streets is illegal. Period. Nevermind the fact that its stupid and irresponsible.

Oh and since apparently you don't know the difference, the Gumball 3000 is a rally. Not a race. Actually it's more of a rolling tribute to hedonistic excess these days, but that's a different thread.

Regards

Good, I was sucked in with the SC topic, then instantly decided I would instead comment on grammar and spelling.
