Superchargers

Well it is pretty obvious from lookin around here that turbochargers are more popular than superchargers. however, i know nothing about turbo chargers except the fact that its not something to get into unless you know what you are doing.. sooo i was wondering if a supercharger would be an easier way to get some more hp. also, ive been searching superchargers on google and the only two i have found are a ram one that runs at 1 psi (seems low to me?) and one for like 70 bucks that looks like a fan. so what can yall tell me?

I would look into the major horsepower upgrade and tuning forms. Plenty of sticky thread there that can answer your questions about power adders.

If you manage to exhaust all of the RX8 FI resources on this site then you'll be ready to make a purchase decision with confidence.

If you don't feel that way then you missed something :-).

if you cant understand whats on these sticky's then it's best you
leave your car the way it is. the problem is there are too many
people joining this forum that what people to do the work for them.
everything you ask has is already a sticky, again all you need to do
is read.

True Dude--- seriously educate yourself before making any decision. It is not something you just install. Its a way of life
Many books out there, much info on the internet, hang around some rotor heads etc.
I run the Pettit supercharger system because I knew more about sc than turbos and i like the idea of known constant boost. Plus that little whirring sound is nice
One is not better than the other for the most part with us adverage Joes. Just different ways to get to the same goal.

This is the **** i dont understand. My threads get closed soo fast bcuz of stupid questions im guessing. But to me they are legitimate questions. Yes they might be answered in other threads but look at this, this kid is asking the stupiest question soo far and his threads not closed. Why is that? The moderators here are very hypocritical. they were all once not as educated just like everyone else. this is rediculous
"a ram one that runs at 1 psi (seems low to me?) and one for like 70 bucks that looks like a fan. so what can yall tell me?". Not trying to hate but thats the stupidest question/ statement i have ever seen.

And for you WILL look in to Pettit. One of the most used and reliable SC out there. Looking at around 10G's all together. GL

I really don’t know what to say this time. But I’ll give the kid some points for being gutsy or very _______. I’ll let the peanut gallery fill the blank.
