Hello everyone,
I have a bone stock RX8 6 speed manual 2004. Looking to churn out a few HP's outta this lil badboy. I'm relatively new to the Rotary world, but I do have a fair bit of knowledge about boost since I used to own a Boosted Honda.

Now I know I will be needing a Cobb Accessport for the tuning part. What I need to know is which Kit to go for ?
Greddy kit apparently runs at 5 psi (which is too low for a guy coming from 1.5 Bars of boost hehe)
Other than there there is this SFR kit which runs at 9psi. I'm looking to keep the internals stock since it's a daily driver. Looking to get atleast 400 WHP.

Any advices will be greatly appreciated.

 

There is a pretty good chance you will not get to 400 without a very pricey build. The Renesissy is not very tolerant of boost stock. I'm pretty sure most of the guys around here getting over 300 have been through a few rebuilds. I'm also sure I won't be the last to tell you about it.

 

I say you sell the car and buy Chris's RX8 ... already boosted an well maintained. Boom done

 

rotary is a different world my friend. Boost or no boost

 

You should try to keep it running for a while with no boost. Read around.

electric supercharger and power chip from ebay. done.

 

I only got 375 with the ebay mods. That last 25 is very tough. Maybe I need a bigger spoiler.

I have a couple extra 4-rotors just lying around. You can have one or two really cheap if you want.

 

400whp on a daily driver? Not happening.
