Well I have an update, things are looking slightly better for my family so that's a good note. As for the car, I finally got the rear brakes, the body kit from Japan, minus the damn side skirts (another set back) the motor is out and disassembled, we're looking at a few options. The car is leaving for paint more then likely this week. I'm not telling you what color it's going to be. What I'm going to do is show you a before picture of when I first bought the car, and an after picture of what it will be like when I get it back. I'm also still waiting on the Limited Slip Differential to come in from Vivid racing, that's been another set back there. I'm keeping my faith in this project, it's been 7 months now and I'm still as excited as I was from day 1 when I dropped it off. I'll try to get up to PFSupercars within the next couple of weeks to get an update for everybody, and who knows maybe I'll post some teaser pictures.

I don't want to say which options we're exploring just yet. I want Ray to have things finalized before I post something and make myself and Ray look bad, because I misinformed people. So let us get to the final product and I'll be glad to let you all in on the information.

Okay so today I made it up to PFSupercars, and the motor is out and disassembled currently being worked on. Monday the car is going out for fitment of the body kit and paint. I asked the paint shop to take lots of pictures, as I want as much detailed as possible. The car will be at paint for about 2 weeks when the car goes in on Monday. While the car is at the paintshop, the motor should be done and waiting to go back in. So hopefully we're looking at sometime in April when she'll be back out. Although we have several delays on a few items. The side skirts that are part of the body kit were not in the same shipment container from Japan. So now BulletProof Automotive is trying to track down what happend. Also I'm still waiting on the LSD from Vivid Racing. So I may have to do some different side skirts then originally planned. As far as the LSD goes, I'm going to call them tomorrow asking for an update. I'm looking forward to getting my car back one of these days, just so I can drive it again. Well as soon as I find out anymore information I'll be glad to drop by and post about it.

Ummmm, well there's not much to update on. It finally made it to the body shop and Ray is currently working on a new intake to replace the stock plastic intake. I'm sorry I haven't updated this in a while. I've been extremely busy with work, going to the gym (have lost 20 pounds) and with my family. There's been a lot of health issues with my Mother and Grandmother, so I've been spending most of my time with my family. When you're in the situation I'm in, an RX8 can take a back seat for a while. I'll try to get up to the shop one day next week and talk to Ray and maybe take some spy shots.

Well I have some bad news. I called PFSupercars on Thursday as I have to pull the plug on the RX-8 project. There's been a major issue with my mother, I'd rather not going into details of what happend. But her health insurance company dropped her because of the problem, and now she is caught up with a very large hospital bill. I wanted nothing more then my RX-8 to be a beast, but when it comes to family and almost losing the ones you love, you tend to take a step back and things fall into perspective real quick. I'm going to be picking up the car probably one day next week. As for the extra parts I'm more then likely going to be selling them off. Once I get everything back home I'll make a list and post all the parts I have on the forum. I'll also probably be selling off the car as a rolling chassy. So please keep my mother in your prayers, and wish me well, cause I'm definitely going to need it through these hard times.

Very sorry to hear it too. Family has to come first and I wish you and your family all the best. Maybe further down the line, you can start this project over again, or somebody will continue where you left off and finish your vision.

I want to thank everyone for their support. Update on my mother, she returned home this weekend and she seems to be doing better then when she went in to the rehab center. We're taking things one day at a time, as it's very easy to fall back into that hole that was once there. I probably won't be online here much for the next few days. I'll try to stop back and leave an update every once in a while. Again thank you everyone.
