Cool. Looking forward to seeing what you find with the injectors. I know I was able to fit ID1000's in the P1 position, pretty sure using the cups. I have pondered going with some ID725s in P1 since they have the same body dimensions, primarily for the same reason you cited: $120/pair vs OEM $$$

Wow, what a pita ... and I had the radiator out with the car up on stands which allowed me to stand close to the front of the engine even. Now I remember why I was nervous about the RB primary plugs possibly have a vacuum leak; what they actually send for the Renesis only has one small O-ring seal, not two of them like the picture on their website.

Well anyway, I put the ID725 in the P1 positions using the ID seal and they're quite snug/tight, so I think they'll seal fine without the OE seal. Then also the ID1300s in the P2 and Sec positions with both fuel rails, the pigtails wired in to the correct correct harness positions , messing with the VDI, etc..

What a suck job this is on the RX8 ...

I didn't have good confidence that they were sealing well, but then it may have been just personal anxiety as I never heard any complaints either ...

ID725 and Racing Beat injector plug for Renesis primary positions. The ID725 came with a flat, round, thick rubber seal.

From: Updated Location....Back in the USA!
Chip and I put in ID1000's in both the primary and secondary's. I think we kept the yellow's in the 3rd locations....its been years but that's all I can remember.

Good to know. Be advised that the new ID1050x is the "short" connector position style and won't fit in the primary position as a result.

Otherwise my deed is done. Now documented for future reference, over and out.

for old times sake bump, I may have backslid some

Might finally have an S2 LIM lined up and in hand soon. Which lets me use two ID725 primary with two IDX1300 secondary since the P2 positions were eliminated on the S2.

I didn’t trust those tiny O-rings on the RB primary plugs and had replaced them with ID725 injectors instead, but apparently other people had no issue with them. If it works then it works, but I don’t agree with doing it that way with only one tiny seal.

Ok, perhaps I was wrong to worry, but compared to the other gaskets I’ve seen used there it didn’t inspire any confidence in me to trust them. I never actually tried to run the engine with them in place. So I’ll have to accept your experience and edit out my previous comment. Thank you for sharing that.
