i dont think im following up here on "side seal springs warping" but what they originally build the engine with is a modified mazda OEM seal to make it flexible that it'll bend and not break , and ive "read" (not seen) any people who "CLAIM" that it can take a good amount of boost , dunno about that

I'm just making the observation that the apex seal strength isn't an issue or a limiting factor. How much heat you are pushing through the side exhaust port is. Ignoring the biggest limiting factor will still leave you limited.

You can push 400whp through the Renesis, it's been done several times. They can't escape the side seal spring heat problem though, and boom. So much for all that investment or that one pull dyno queen.

The proper explanation is that either the iron warps/expands around the exhaust port opening which then takes out the side seal and/or the side seal spring goes kaput

on a second thought i guess im not hehe i think im just gonna leave the as stock as possible with minor mods
