PP exhaust renesis

has it been done?
can it be done?

From what i understand the exhaust port is the greatest Achilles heel of the renesis motors. Would PP the exhaust (as in the way the pre renesis motors were) and keep the side intake or bridgeported intake would/should make more power?

Can't be done for less than...XXXX money, I looked into it when I did my half bridge. The RX-7 was cast solid in that area to allow the port to be there, the RX-8 has water around where the port would be so it would take major modifying and it might even cause over heating...not to mention durability issues. My plan was to drill a supplementary exhaust port on the housing of about 1" diameter and even that wasn't possible.

Oh and btw...the aquiles heel of the Renesis is the compression and the apex seals...and there is a solution for that (the apex seals I mean, look in my sig ). As for the compression, it needs to be tuned properly but you can deal with that.

Best regards,

Chris

well you can either build your own and post up the experience or you can demand to have your RX8Club membership fee returned

further, a lot of stuff you read here runs 3 or more years behind what the real leaders are doing. Not everybody posts their hard work/secrets on the internet for other people to exploit free of all the trouble it took to achieve, particularly if their income depends on it
