I see an air intake using the hood for fresh air?
Or can the abs unit or alternator be moved?
Maybe I am not looking at it right either.
It would be pretty easy to move the alternator wouldnt it? I never liked it in the position its in anyway.

you can make more room in the back using a remote oil cooler and taking the heater hose and rerouting it under the engine

Im not cutting a hole in the hood, lol. Is all gona fit, im already on it. I have to mave the heater hose, is that close. Its all pretty tight but it works very well. Barely enough room. The IC is fitted also.

moving the alternator wont fix anything the bottleneck is at the firewall, unless you flip the unit 180 degrees and do a drive shaft that goes back to the pulley like the unit that TRD has for the Scion TC

Na--dont think you would want that.
Moon says he has it--so he does.
What I did wilth my heater hose ( when I first installed the kit) was run it under the engine--along the subframe, secure it there and then bring it up on the passenger side to the heater. You could even make a partial copper pipe for this mod. It has room for a 2 inch pipe to cross over down there although I wouldnt really want to go that big. But it does add a tad more coolant to the system and it does help with cooling.
Hehe. Ask me how i know? It does make the heater not work so well--but those in warm climates wouldnt mind.
Moon while you are at it--it would be really really good to design another oil dipstick? One that is not as difficult to get too? Maybe put an 09 version on it somehow? I would buy that separatly.
I do wonder what intercooler Moon choose?
Thats one big ***'ed blower dude. I would love just to see the 2.1 on it.
Going to need much more injector capacity--and I am not sure about the pump--i think the s2 model pump will be ok? Could always add the boost a pump if needed.
It will also need more spark.
With that 2.6--its enough to get 400rwhp with a slightly modified engine build, some porting and drivetrain work.
Hold on world--its about to rock.

I think a lot of people are going to be very surprised And it won't be just about the power out put.
by the way have you found some really big injectors lol
I do wonder if the fuel pump will be able to keep up? Maybe a boost a pump will be needed--let me know.?

CAN YALL SAY 400 DRIVEABLE reliable RWHP WILL SOON BE HERE!! (with a few engine mods)

Im trying to figure out the most cost effective way to handle belts and pullys. I want to go 8 rib yet the ones available are expensive. One idea i have is 2 4rib belts. I havent been able to find the pully cutters for my mill but im positive they have them somewhere. Ive pretty much figured out most everything else, the plumbing is awsome and on the rite track sofar.

8 rib belt?
our 4 rib does ok even at the high rpms the higher boost pulley demands?
This big en will not need that much because it will not have to driven as hard and the bigger pulley will give more belt wrap than we have now?
That big throttle body is going to idle ok?

Yup, this is whats happening. You could say im tackling 2 things at once. First off im adapting the Pettit kit to fit the 2.1 kenny bell and the longer back 1.7s that seem to be still available but also run into the same issues as the bigger blowers. I have the rest of my mock up motor parts comming in today for final fit. After i get that done i can get back on the 2 high flow setups ive already started. Ive figured out how to make the gear box and motor off the factory throttlebody to fit the twin 62mm throttlebody. Not a hard thing to do. Ive also figured out how to mod the pettit intake into the blower for more flow, alot more to be adle to benefit from a mod like that throttlebody.

So it should be easier to swap if we already have the 1.7 SC?

Once the upgrade is available there will be no stopping me Denny
I'll let you drive it
Yes, I imagine our friend with the R3 would be first in line if it's available for Series 2

this new blower is going to mount differently. It has too because of the size difference. The pulley line up is critical. If you tried to swap one out with the original kit--you would be asking for trouble.
Moving this much more air is also going to require different injectors, a better air water intercooler and a different size primary drive pulley. So sorry dude--it wont be as simple as that.
Things work as a package --if you substitute this for that etc you can end up worst than when you first started.
So no one should be throwing a bigger blower on the original pettit kit.

Well, starting to majorly regret doing this. Norman your jumping the gun!!!!! You just cant wait till this was properly done. Im not taking any responsibility in what your doing!!! You already have the 2.1 on improperly, strait edge needs to touch all 4 points of the pullys for 1. You injectors are at 95%+. Your running lean pushing 12 plus psi and spining the blower pully!!! What are you thinking??? You need to stop, put your 1.7 back on and be patient. This is not the way you do any development!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not with Pettits or my name on it!!!!

You now you already voided the warranty on that SC rite? If you spin that pully you can tell and that instantly voids it.

After alot of thought im going to have to withdraw this project as a Pettit development project as much as id hate to. Let me explain. The original plan was to get the 2.1 to fit properly so Cam could continue his sales of the kit. Im still working on that and almost finished with whats needed but it seems that rote8 jumped the gun and did whatever he wanted. It was not what was agreed. It just seems as if you told me what I wanted to hear to get what you wanted. Well you çdid. Norman, im still sticking to my end of the deal that we made but your going to need to take Pettits name off this thread.
