novice owner going supercharged!!! Need help with important parts.
Hi guys!!!
Some of you might have seen some of my posts by now.... anyways.... I'm a real novice at owning an rx8 and modifying...
I'm going supercharged faster than first thought as I managed to find a full set ready to install at 1/3 of the full price. My car is totally stock... and I know I would need extra parts for it...
The kit that I'm getting is the ProCharger System... from DNA Motorsport. ( dnamotorsports.com.au ), it was taken out of another car and is therefore ready to install without any additional adjustments or parts. My car is an '03 with 54,000kms on the clock... Manual
I'm gonna need you guys to recommend me all the things that I'll need, and it'll be great if you could tell me the benefits as well...
One thing is for sure... I'm gonna need a new exhaust to help with the exhaust flow and to reduce back pressure
It would be much appreciated if you guys can arrange your answer in the following layout (just to help me read easier)... prioritising importance of each mod will be great as well....
1) type of mod
2) benefits/why I need it
3) recommendations on brands
1) 2nd most important mod
2) benefits/why I need it
3) recommendations on brands
1) 3rd most important mod
2) benefits/why I need it
3) recommendations on brands
and so on...
Sorry for being so long winded and specific.... I need to know everything I can possibly know....
PS: My friends aree gonna help me install the set... it comes with a manual and it will be a chance for me to have hands on experience....
Thank you so much guys

Sure would help to know who's s/c your installing. Whats the year of your 8? is it an A/T or M/T? Your telling us nothing......Why don't you start over and list what you acquired, who's unit, and some info on your 8
I won't be making any recomendations cuz your asking me to do all your work. Maybe there are others who do not mind but they will need to know those three questions that I asked.

Recommended mods to go along with the procharger.
I assume you are getting the stage 2/race kit with headers and injectors, if not then get those items. If you are going to track the car, a fuel pump upgrade is not a bad idea either.
Your relocating the battery to the trunk so get a light weight racing battery, braille or odyssey and get something in the 15-20LB weight range.
Exhaust upgrade to a full 3" header back is a good idea, will help make more power. (I see you have a thread for that)
Cooling: Upgrade the radiator, BHR or mazmart. Upgrade the water pump, Mazmart.
Spark plugs: If you are running more then 6-8 PSI you should run colder plugs.
Guages: I use the msd dashhawk OBD2 reader for AFR and coolant temp plus a bunch of other stuff. You should add a boost guage and oil temp while you are at it.
The air filter on the kit is too small and placed in a bad location (right above the radiator and next to the coolant pressure bottle). I would suggest maing something to pull in cool air.
Clutch: upgrade it along with the flywheel when your stock clutch goes out.
That is all I can think of.
I know the power mod is a good ecu but I personaly think the kit would be better as a maf based system. Unfortinatley it requires moving some stuff and getting a good tuner and using the access port or similar device.
